Bruce Tate, President

Bruce Tate is a fifteen year veteran of the information technology profession. He has delighted hundreds of customers in a variety of roles from Internet development, to database performance and design sessions. He has served as CTO of two startups and also served as lead architect of various organizations.

At IBM, Bruce filled a variety of roles, including Java proof of concept work, Java architectures, national sales and support, object oriented systems programming and database systems programming. He served on the certification board for the I/T profession, and has been a leader throughout his career. Bruce is named on eight IBM patents.

As an independent consultant, Bruce is the author of five books, including the best-selling Bitter Java and Better, Faster, Lighter Java. He is the founder and principle author and editor for Manning's Bitter series. Bruce speaks at a variety of conferences and users groups spanning North America. Bruce is a strong persistence expert, a proven performance analyst, an adept architect and facilitator, and an excellent communicator.
